Interesting to think about. Have you ever seen The Butterfly Effect?
No, sorry… I think I saw the trailer, but haven’t been to an actual movie theater in several years… just too much hassle, what with not being able to sit for long periods… besides, who wants to pay $5 for a bad cup of coffee, or $10 for enough Junior Mints to feed a soccer team? 🙂
I seem to recall the movie having something to do with the statement about how the fluttering of a butterfly’s wings in South America eventually causing a typhoon in Indonesia, or however it went… about the consequences of any act on reality…is that the one?… I’ll Google it, so I can understand the reference… we’ll talk again, I’m sure…
Sorta. But not the film your talking about. It was about the choices we have and make everyday. How our life can take and change directions, become a completely different life really, based the the choices we make. Anywho, it shows one life lived a few different ways, based on choices the person made. Interesting flick,
I just read the Wiki description of the movie; sounds very interesting indeed…. I’ll keep my eye out for a CD to check it out, though it sounds a bit intense… I don’t deal well with intense any more…. PTSD gets in the way if the scenario starts to get into certain kinds of even vicarious tension…. but I’ll give it a try, or try to find a copy of the book it was based on. That I can usually deal with…. it goes at my pace, not the film’s…. thanks for the suggestion, I’m always looking for good stories….
The butterfly effect is a troubling movie, it keeps jumping from one reality to another depending on what the circle of people do in certain situations it is as I say troubling…why are we discussing the Butter-fly effect!
Willowdot…. Only due to the above comment thread, as mentioned by another blogger…. as I mentioned, it does sound intense, so I’ll check it out, but may not finish watching it….due to that very reason… we’ll see…. I’m not particularly fond of tension in my movie diet any more… I tend to leave that to reading about it, from afar, at a slow pace, in little bites. Too much stress, even vicarious or simulated, that hits me fast or all at once, such as in a quick scene change, takes me to places I no longer can deal with without paying a price I refuse to pay any more… any who, that’s how we got here, now we’re outta there… 🙂
