Ffolkes,
“Love is the process of my leading you gently back to yourself.”
~~ Antoine de Saint Exupéry ~~
It all flows; nothing stands still….
Hajime…. Good morrow, mes amis; ’tis a fine morning here in paradise, with dawn still approaching, and, our delusions of adequacy intact. Such is the power of human imagination; no matter how dark, or troubled, or problematic our lives become, we can deny it, with ease. I mean, just look at what has already taken place. I’ve made at least two assertions which, patently, show no evidence of any sort of reflection of reality, to wit; I live in paradise, and am adequately prepared to face the day. Both, of course, are not true, but, don’t blame me. I’m an American, and have been deliberately confused since first getting a load of TV, back in the early 1950’s….
However, as we are so fond of reiterating here, so be it. There is little we now experience which lends itself to proper assimilation; it first must pass the test of truth, which, given the scarcity of THAT to be found, can be a tricky task, ’tis clear. But, we go on, in spite of the obstacles, just as if we really had the time and skill to deal with it. Why not? It won’t go away, and it won’t hold still, so, no point in spending too much time or effort to worry about it; worry won’t help, anyway, will it? Nope….
Now I’ve completely lost most of my Gentle Readers, (hell, I lost myself….), it’s probably best if we get on with this. All the elements are in place, though not as fresh as I might wish; the new poem’s blocked, and the rant’s on hold to perform research. So, we’ve got some default standards today, and a rather good final, old-school pearl to challenge your sense of irony, if not your perspicacity. Go figure, eh? I might add, what else is new? But, that would be self-indulgent, and not worthy of our time or notice. Besides, it’s time for me to do this….
Shall we Pearl?….

I’m running a little bit late today, so, we’ve gone to default, with the additional step to the guitar category. I chose this one for the length (just over 3 hours), and, of course, the picture, of a beautiful guitarist…. *grin*…..

Piraeus calls me, silently
Sizzle, sizzle, crash, bang, boom.
Intellect burning with subsequent doom.
Lingering long over decisive style,
Whistling up chaos all the while.
Such frozen thoughts may shatter,
Should we infer, but, no matter.
Firing blanks is children at play
Blooded sages all gasp in dismay.
Nonsense is good sense at times
Mundane objectives trip lightly in rhymes.
Fallen angels dance on a pin
Until each sinner enters within.
Fast moments with natural rain
Bring ashes, yet still must remain.
Final thoughts clamor for more
Find them only on a far distant shore.

Well, there you have it, such as it is. At least, it is, which, if I’d stumbled much more, might not be. On that somewhat perilously insane note, I’ll take my leave, to see if I can go find a modicum of what little sanity is left to me. I’ll see y’all tomorrow, ffolkes, come hell or high water. Well, my dad thought it was funny….
Y’all take care out there,
and May the Metaphorse be with you;
