The BBR keeps intruding upon my computer time, with little resistance from me, so, a fresh Pearl is still in the works. Here for your “pleasure” (an assumption, but, one with good intent…) is a Pearl from a bit over two years ago…. It’s pretty decent, and will fulfill today’s need to post, with a decent degree of aplomb, if not elegance. I’ll be back in a day or two, unless a certain plan comes to fruition, in which case it might be later… or, sooner, who knows? Not me…

This rich view of a tapestry of colourful stars was captured by the Wide Field Imager (WFI) camera, on the MPG/ESO 2.2-metre telescope at ESO’s La Silla Observatory in Chile. It shows a open cluster of stars known as IC 4651, a stellar grouping that lies at in the constellation of Ara (The Altar).
