I had planned to blow this off again, but, my Celtic nature, so prone to guilt, intervened to compel me to find something to post. In spite of not having much time I can afford to spend on my butt today, I managed to find this, from a bit over two years ago…. It’s a fine, iconic Pearl, just the right tone for the current state of affairs & I hope you enjoy it. I’m working, bit by bit, on a fresh one for tomorrow ( I DO like to post on All Fool’s Day….), with relatively high hopes for success. I won’t ask y’all to wish me luck, as that’s just dumb; instead I’ll say only, I’ll need it. Meantime, be cool, and strange, and all those things one can do to make the journey worth our time….

Hajime…. El Niño has come to California, bringing copious amounts of rain, sufficient to pound the windows hard enough to wake the dead; since I’m not quite there, it woke me, too. Nice to hear, actually, as we are, rain notwithstanding, deep into a serious drought in this neck of the North American woods. While welcome, the rain, as usual, will be trumpeted as disaster in the making, and people will wander around to their work and play, as if they’d never had to deal with rain in their lives…..
