In past incarnations of ECR, changes occurred, though not always accompanied by announcements; this time, I think the first change may have already been noted, & ignored (rightly so), by anyone familiar with how it generally goes here. To wit: no more ‘Hajime’ to begin the intro section. No big deal, or compelling reason; it’s simply the result of having lost my template along with my computer, & forgot to include it in the first posts. So be it; there’s no turning back now. We’ll all just have to learn to take things the way they are, which, I suppose, is good advice anytime, as long as one doesn’t get too serious about it, or too easygoing, leading to becoming a victim to manipulation. On that admittedly confusing note, let’s move on….

The time I’ve spent away from the on line community here on WP has been, for the most part, well-spent, at least in terms of health and well-being, if not time and circumstance. My weight is on track to get down to my high school fighting level, though without concomitant stamina & conditioning; all sorts of physical issues caused by obesity are now in control, if not fully eradicated. All I can say on that is, thank GOD I stopped listening to doctors & re-assumed responsibility for my OWN condition. A recent event serves as good example; I experienced a strain/tear to the intercostal tissue between two ribs, caused by an unexpected hard cough while asleep; I awoke @ 4 a.m., feeling exactly as if I’d been kicked in the rib by a small, but angry horse. If you’ve ever broken a rib, you know what it feels like…..

Rather than go the ER for treatment, (having experienced the same issue years ago), I diagnosed myself, & instituted what I know to be the proper treatment, to wit, rest, cold & warm compresses to the area as needed, and patience. This is working fine, & healing is progressing satisfactorily, & I saved a BUNCH of money & time by NOT letting the medicos & insurance moguls get involved…. Bonus! Much of my health improvement is occurring in the same vein; the more I ignore what they want, & I do what I know to be ‘right living’, the better I feel.

Well enough about me…. Let’s leave further explorations into my twisted mind for now, & get on with today’s mess; perhaps I can last long enough at the computer today to get a few more sites visited, to let ffolkes know I’m still around. We’ll employ an old method that has always worked well…. Well, well enough for OUR purposes, anyway. It’s simple, effective, & looks like this….
