Leelu in repose….

Hajime…

Well! It’s been quite some time since I last typed that directive, borrowed so long ago from the sport of Judo; to be precise, which has always been my preference, it has been a year and ywo days. On 1/24/2019, after attempting to explain ‘why’, I posted my last blog, intending to cease writing altogether, as I could not see well enough to make it worth the effort. Since that time, I’ve been making a valiant effort to LIVE in the real world, the consensual reality I had been exploring through my writing; I can only claim imperfect results from said effort, which is., perhaps the most human thing I could say, as well as the most honest.

In the year & two days, I’ve courted someone, spoken with many, & walked the world with wonder & sadness. I’ve much to say, but, remain challenged in the process of sharing my thoughts, thanks to progressively worsening vision; these two simple paragraphs have takent tthree days and some little eyestrain to complete, & we’re still only midway through an introductory section. I think I’m looking at some editing of intended additions, just to get it done. SIGH…. I can’t complain, I guess, though ’tis tempting indeed to do so.

That being said, to as little purpose as ever was, let’s get on with what I’ve been able to put together, before I lose my enthusiasm, & put it off again….

I decided, ujpon my return, to NOT use pictures of artists, (as I do with classical choices played by full orchestral groups), for two reasons. First, the music you hear should be the reason to listen, not the artist’s beauty, or lack of it. Second, it will save worrying about supplying attribution for pictures to which I don’t own the rights.

Today’s choice was the winner of the first season of the Voice in Australia; there is ample information on the artist, Karise Eden, on the Net simply by typing her name into Google. Enjoy!….

A dream, weeping….

“Never a dull moment to spare”, he said
with a crooked grin, and a broad wink.
“Can’t keep Reality hanging by a thread….
what would Chaos, or Entropy think?”

So, we plucked up our dreams of old,
to carry us on, in dutiful, strong arms,
stuffed a candle in the remaining fold,
for luck, and perfect proof against charms.

Storms follow the sun, but, never stay;
lessons round every corner, all free.
Past fleeting doubts, in a sad disarray,
the journey becomes the reason to be.

Simple kindness manifests untold riches,
in defiance of common cause’s demise.
Bold courage, hanging in stitches,
mends wounds that come as no surprise.

Still, waters run deep, ’tis said by many.
Too much pain cannot apprehend
the salient, sharp points of epiphany,
nor, plainly, to wisdom aspire to pretend.

Folly dogs even the simplest truth,
fumes of toxic ignorance and bile,
alienated as a loose rotten tooth;
it often hides itself, for a long while.

Sought after eons ago, we cried out,
to believe, to suffer no more doubt.
But found instead good reason,
for love, and truth, from season, to season.

Once again, there’s little that can be said to either explain, or justify, such a puerile pastime, especially at my age (oh, yeah…. I turned 69 years old while I was gone…. gettin’ there, step by step). I suppose I aought to know better, but, there you go. I hope y’all enjoyed this little foray into the past, even if I didn’t manage to expound much on what has passed for cogitative progress during my absence. So be it; what you see is what you get, as is so clear on the “internets”. I’ll be back, eventually, ffolkes; you may regard that as both promise and threat. Be well, & happy as you may be….

Y’all take care out there,
and May the Metaphorse be with you;
Blessed Be, dearest Carole, Mark,Theresa, & Richy
and everyone else, too…

When I works, I works hard.
When I sits, I sits loose.
When I thinks, I falls asleep.

Which is Why….

Sometimes I sits and thinks,
and sometimes,
I just sits.
