Hajime…. Today’s title actually means what it says, to wit: What you see is what you get. I’m taking the day off, completely, and won’t even be visiting or reading other blogs today. My brain needs it, and so does my body. That’s the quorum, so, it’s settled. You get music, and these few words, at the beginning, and the end. That’s it.

To ensure that is true, I’ll leave you by merely saying, I hope you enjoy today’s Pearl, and music, and will see y’all tomorrow, with a full, fresh Pearl. Not a bad deal for what you’re paying, right? Right. Let’s get on with it, so I can get on with it…

Today I’m trying to fulfill a request from adollyiciousirony at All About Lemon, who asked me to join her and other bloggers in her new blogging game, Music Passion…. so, below this are links to my music passion(s) from the 50’s, the artists that I listened to then, and whose music influenced my tastes the most…. I couldn’t choose only one, so I picked two. They are Little Miss Dynamite, Brenda Lee, and the undisputed godfather of rock and roll, Buddy Holly… here are links to their music…


Brenda Lee’s best hits; this is sung by Brenda many years after she made these songs famous, as a 11 year old phenomenon, singing her signature song “Dynamite” in 1957 on TV….

Thanks very much to Dolly at All About Lemon for persuading me to give this technological lesson a try… I don’t know if it will work, but I’ve learned a bit about how the WP editor works, so it’s all good… it was fun finding the music too, and now, if this works, I’ll be able to continue to the next decade and onward.. so… Yay!


I hope for two things…. First, that the logo and the links come through okay… second, that the logo displays as it should.  And if not, well, the music you’ll find by following the links should make it all okay…. Enjoy!
