Galway early morn

Early morning in Galway….

Hajime…. Aha! It isn’t 0 and 1… it’s 0 and infinity! Or, rather, ‘twould be, if we were able to perceive reality with more discrimination. Mostly, we’re not, so, we stumble around this old ball o’mud with our mouths open & our minds shut, pretending we are the lords of creation, when what we are, at base, is a pack of over-active, under-achieving apes with aggressive tendencies, and very little consideration for the other inhabitants who live here with us. SIGH…. Such promise, too. Ah, well, perhaps in our next incarnation, our species will have learned, as well as ‘earned’, a bit more of the basic understanding which might do well to ease our path away from self-destruction, seemingly our most developed talent….

As might be construed, my thoughts have turned maudlin again, in spite of having hovered close to what feels like a major epiphany for some days now, under the impetus and influence of my current reading, difficult as has been to perform the act of reading itself. It seems age is catching up to me again, in the worst way I can imagine. My eyes are giving out, & make it very hard to read for long, or well, at all. Even the act of typing/writing is becoming more problematic, as the letters swim around, mixing & melding with each other until the whole mess is nearly incomprehensible. Not to say it isn’t always so, but, not being able to make out the individual letters does complicate the process, slowing it considerably, not to mention increasing the threat of typographical inaccuracy, always a risk for us self-styled philosophers…. BIG SIGH….

Nonetheless, I have persevered, long enough to complete a freshly constructed Pearl for your perusal, and for the release of my angst. Bingo…. I love two for one. Now, all I have to do is figure out how to work our way around the maudlin starting phase, into the proper outcome, to wit, moving down the page to the rest of the material. I think I know how to do that; it’s actually fairly simple, really. All I actually have to do is this… Watch close, or you’ll miss the turn….

Shall we Pearl?….

“Sentiment without action is the ruin of the soul.
One brave deed is worth a thousand books.”

This won’t hurt. Those familiar with the process here on ECR will recognize the icon atop this section as our indicator of default musical choice, to wit, classical music. They can reassure the rest of y’all who might otherwise be worried such music will be boring, or beyond their taste…. trust me, just listen while you read, and you’ll see… it truly doesn’t hurt, and, if given half a chance, can actually be soothing to the spirit…. Penance, Made Simple

After all the dross is sent away
a celebration can begin,
time will face up to space, to stay
willing, to shine from within.

Anger and confusion come in to share
brushing reason aside,
eager to welcome all that is fair,
alert to danger, eyes wide.

Re-gift the wicked with their own pain
stand with the just;
fail to partake of the ill-gotten gain,
living in honor, the only must.

Standing fast in the face of wrong
is its own prize and reward.
Holding on to truth makes us strong,
well worth working toward.

Little is left to chance by fate
our lessons are never free of cost.
Seldom does reality make us wait
only when alone, are we lost.

Butterfly & herb garden, urban style….

Hajime…. During the early days on this blog, and, for that matter, for the entire time I’ve pursued this demon, finding the right words to open the festivities has been the most challenging piece of the puzzle. I found it is NOT easy to come up with something witty or interesting right out of the gate each day; it’s more like the intense anxiety and effort it takes to face the consequences of a bad decision. In short, not fun at all. But, I persevered, and managed to come up with some relatively effective techniques, if only because they got done.

Now, with more than a thousand posts under my belt over the six-plus years of writing & angsting over it, I find it no simpler a task than it’s ever been. Even if I merely relate the cause of my absence, it’s no less daunting in it’s sheer terror. But, as I have ever done, I persist, for some unknown, but, compelling reason. Perhaps, one fine day, I’ll come to understand why I keep trying; for now, I’ll merely be content to have completed my task, thus fulfilling my self-imposed duty, and taking what comfort from that I can. SIGH…. I am SUCH a Bozo….

But, since I claim to be a fairly rational Bozo, I’ll forgo any further attempt at coherency, because I can tell already, there isn’t a lot of that I can find today. Why? Don’t know, don’t care. Today, the way my mind is wandering about in fields of blank spaces, I know only this: if I don’t do it now, it won’t get done, & then I’ll feel incomplete all damn day. So, we’ll employ one of our most effective techniques for moving this along…. Yep, it’s old # 4, and it works like this….

Shall we Pearl?….

“Trouble rather the tiger in his lair
than the sage amongst his books.
For to you Kingdoms and their armies
are things mighty and enduring,
but to him they are but toys of the moment,
to be overturned by the flicking of a finger.”

While cruising You Tube one day a month or so ago, I came across a video of this young singer, busking on the streets of London, where she resides. I was, quite simply, amazed at her vocal range and skills, and impressed with her musicianship, as she plays guitar and sings in a unique style. I could gush over her easily for a long time, but, will merely say, listen, and watch. You’ll see a modern incarnation of Terpsichore the Muse, alive, singing, playing, dancing and spreading happiness with each note…. Enjoy!….

Blithely Untitled

A poem came to me today, willy, nilly,
along with a sharp blow to the head.
Since it left me feeling just a bit silly,
anything that rhymes should lessen the dread.

Manifesting destiny into a small, insidious group
we push on toward sanity, concentrating hard.
Full engaging moments spent navigating the loop
shall ever make a difference to victims found in the yard.

Still corpses of creatures, straight out of nightmare
fill up the corners of our tortured minds.
While ever saddened, the iconic male, most debonair,
gazes softly, ironically, at all the mutual interest he finds.

Moronic public statutes compel outbreaks of sanity,
responding to momentary impulses toward inducing peace.
Still, the motions get completed, in fertile stages of inanity
while the bulk of our inmates can find no surcease.

Reluctant motivation to continue is unbound,
striving to ascertain how far there yet remains to go.
No precognitive guesswork will make any less of a sound
to soften the final strains, or teach us to truly know.

Bones of stone….

Ffolkes,

“I saw Eternity the other night,
Like a great ring of pure and endless light,
All calm, as it was bright;

Driv’n by the spheres
Like a vast shadow mov’d; in which the world
And all her train were hurl’d.”

zoe in wonder

At 2, the world is full of wonder….

Hajime…. We begin today with an observation on Life:

“In any given set of circumstances,
the proper course of action
is determined by subsequent events.”

~~ McDonald’s Corollary to Murphy’s Law ~~

Don’t worry, I’m not going to hare off into yet another complaint against Murphy’s trepidations; I only bring it up in order to give me an excuse for not having been writing much of late. The excuse part is realized when one considers the corollary lesson implied by this, to wit: “the hard way is always the easiest way”…. Essentially, taking the hard way is just what I’ve been up to, though, to watch, that might not be readily apparent. But, trust me, at my age, making changes of ANY kind is the hard way….

I’ve found, in achieving this age, remembering to assert one’s will to taking the most difficult choice is important to the process of finding happiness, which in the final analysis, is what being human is about. It may seem counter-intuitive, but, trust me, it’s as true as anything you will ever hear or know, at least for us humans. As a modern philosopher once noted….

“Happiness is the only sanction of life;
where happiness fails,
existence remains a mad and lamentable experience.”

~~ George Santayana ~~

Finding our bliss, as Joseph Campbell has noted in his work, is, possibly, the most important thing any of us can do in our lives, for the quest to find it, and to follow it, is what makes us what we are. Our lives are a form of poetry, the most singularly human activity in which we engage, for poetry is our reaction to life, our expression of our inner being as it makes its way through the cloud of perception into the depths of Reality, seeking that which makes us what we are, a child of nature, part of the whole, and complete thereby…..

Part of my search has led me away from posting very often; it has not eliminated the need to do so. So, to fulfill that need for now, I think we’ll cease and desist any further discussion of how, or why, & just get on with what I’ve put together for today’s mess. I’ve even called in our old pilot, Luigi, who will now take us directly to the oyster beds of imagination, where we may gather up the pearls earmarked for this Pearl…. Hang on, ffolkes; it’s been a while, & Luigi is probably a bit out of practice….

Shall we Pearl?….

the rest love not freedom but license.”

I’m sad to say.
Sometimes it’s just an ending
there’s always a price to pay.

Still, it’s only money, he said

Even the bad stuff turned out well,
life lessons are just that way.
Knowing what’s right, you can’t always tell,

Though I cannot say it is the best effort I’ve ever made, it’s not bad for a Pearl that took four days to complete. As such, it fits our regulatory paradigm, & will serve nicely as the latest in a long series of similar posts. Though this may seem as if I am denying, or avoiding the concept outlined in the introductory discussion, it’s not; finding an ending is NOT as easy as it might seem, nor is it an easy thing to ‘settle’ for less than perfection, especially for those of us who strive for it on a regular basis. But, I digress (go figure, eh?)….. Since I am here at the end, let’s end it. See y’all in a day or two, when I’ve again spilled my guts onto another screen. At this point, all I can feel is anger, which is unproductive, so, I’m going to finish this, & go deal with life at large at this locale. Early Observations

Until I knew there was more,
I wanted to know God.
They said he was a nice guy,
and would let me live forever.

All I had to do, they said,
was live my life for Him,
always living by scripture
cleaving only to his Way.

But, everyone I saw in church,
acted different at home.
Living wild, cussin’ and fussin’,
nobody lived like they said.

Still, I tried to be like Jesus,
he was sort of cool.
He never hurt nobody
and walked on the right path.

‘Course they killed him for that,
they couldn’t stand his example.
Turned him into a martyr,
hid his real words among their own.

Then I found the Buddha,
and met Lao Tzu at the gate.
They saw things real different,
showed me how to see straight.

Right thought, and right action
replace blind obedience and faith.
Reality becomes manageable,
fear retreats, the universe expands.

Brother John said it pretty well,
“Imagine there’s no heaven,
it’s easy if you try.”
Sounds like he knew why.

Day to day, life is grand,
we walk in eternal beauty.
Open your eyes and hearts,
find yourself already immortal.

Yes, I’m still mad….

Hajime…. Thus begins another day, in which we pursue our explorations with vigor and enthusiasm. Sure we do; we also tend to stretch truth to imitate reality, as we find it. Of course, such interference with reality comes with consequence, but, we’re always prepared to accept whatever is necessary to find the true nature of what we perceive. Sounds noble, as well as fruitful, though it is seldom both at once, or, even singly. In truth, we often can’t find it at all, spending such mornings in practicing the distractions so useful in manipulating the human mind. Hey, if a sociopathic narcissist can get away with it, it’s certainly within our capabilities, right? Right.

I see I’ve done it again. Defining ‘it’, should I choose to do so, might not be in my, or your, best interests, so, I’ll just pretend none of that ever happened, just like a real politician, or, a cat, both of which I’ve observed my entire life. Though I cannot honestly say I’ve ever tried to emulate the former, the latter can teach us a lot, about how to get one’s own way, or, how to just get along, through the consistent use of denial. Doing so probably doesn’t help our karma to improve, but, what the hell, it keeps us out of jail, most times. Always a good thing; jail’s not much fun. Or, so I’ve heard….

I’m wandering. In my head, and on the screen; I can feel it, in the way my mind fuzzes over, every time I make another attempt to bring some coherence to this missive. I suppose it would be best to get the slow on the toad, for it’s looking very much like I won’t be approaching any such clarity today. Since there’s little to be done about that, given the circumstances, let’s just use our favorite trick, and get on with this, before it gets any weirder….

Raging at Aging

As old as you feel, we are told, is old as you are,
custom assures such vision will carry us far.
Reality begs to differ, may it be so bold
it is really quite painful, and very, very cold.

The power and strength felt in our halcyon youth
desert us with age, yet another unwelcome truth.
Irony rules our time here on this bountiful earth
as we reflect the changes over time since our birth.

As physical powers fade from this fragile shell,
we learn our mind can serve us quite as well.
The strength that once filled our bones and hearts
is now applied by our will, to more arcane arts.

Life’s greatest gift is our freedom of choice
no matter how often we forget, we still get a voice.
Energy, or apathy, by our will we may choose,
failing to do so, our only way to lose.

Each of us lives in the grip of time and space,
always seeking our balance, our own chosen place.
One must accept reality, for it is true at the core,
all we can do, is all we can do, and nothing more.

Hajime…. While the funk in which my mind has spent the last days dwelling is lessened, I’m still not in the best of moods. There are signs I’m on a productive path, so, patience is the order of the day. Yesterday’s Pearl proved, once again, how critical the completion of this chosen duty has become to my state of mind; it literally saved me from a full day of bullshit. Since today’s Pearl will serve the same purpose, I’d best get started putting it together, before I lose either my impetus, or my fragile hold on reality….

My introspection seems finally to be approaching a degree of resolution, in the sense I am now convinced of where I’ve been going wrong in my agenda, and how to proceed. If one wishes to get somewhere, it’s a good thing to know where one wishes to go; what I’ve discovered in myself the last few days (hours) will help me keep that in focus. I cannot say, at this point, whether my chances are good, or not so much, but, at this point, I don’t care, & it won’t matter anyway. Saying isn’t doing, is it? Nope. At this point, all I’m doing is typing….

I’m getting a bit silly, as well as losing the thread, so, we’ll just give up trying to bring any real coherence into this intro, & get on with the rest of what needs to be done. I’m pretty sure coherence isn’t in the picture, anyway, so there’s no point going overboard trying to find any; I don’t feel like swimming. Instead, we’ll just go on, as if we actually had a plan, and were working on the list to get it done. Go figure, eh? Let’s pretend we are, and do this…

Shall we pearl?….

Dreaming of Calliope

La belle dame sans merci speaks aloud through endless night,
torturing dreams, with powerful words and stentorian phrases.
Manifest visions bathed in unbearable grace and light,
destroying all direction, standing lost, in unfathomable mazes.

Fate plays a part, one that will never face denial,
as fear and courage eternally vie for ascendancy.
Conflict becomes valid, gifting strength in open trial,
but honest emotion wears no costume so fancy.

Blood, sweat, and tears stroll on avenues of gold,
unlikely heroines heralding as in ancient lore;
Sharp, competent knives cut through tales untold,
eternally shifting reality past the naked shore.

Drifting toward origin, bereft of mandate or cause,
finished, nay, abandoned, tied with a figurative bow.
No simple gift from muses to give comfort or pause,
save that all we need to know, we already know…..

The Spanish Arch ~ Galway, Ireland

Hajime…. Bilious clouds of noxious fumes rose up to obscure the hallway, as Perry Gomes carefully passed by the broken pipes, from which the gases were leaking. Perry thought to himself it wasn’t surprising, when two buses full of commuters crashed into each other, then bounced into the pumping station; a bit of damage was to be expected. Perry, who worked for the company which maintained the gas lines, was tasked with going into the mess to assess the damage. As he peered down the hallway, in the light of the near-useless flash, he could see something moving, thrashing about against the walls, smashing all in its path. “My God,” he thought, “it’s an intro to a Pearl! How will we ever fix that!”

No telling, actually. Perry’s obviously got his work cut out for him, and, since we are responsible for his being in the situation in the first place,  we abandon him to his fate with some reluctance. However, should we wish to get today’s mess on the toad, we’ll need to ignore any and all distractions, just to find the wherewithal within to do so. Not an easy task when one is still wandering around in a creative daze, having just come up with yet another way to NOT write an actual introduction…. It’s a gift.

That said, and, thankfully, done, we’ll make our usual executive decision, and put the slow on the toad. We have no regrets, other than having again fallen into the royal ‘we’, just as if we had time to deal with it. Fuck it. I’m done with this. We are outta here, now…. Watch this!….

Shall we Pearl?….

Plato-Aristotle

    Not only do I not have a rant ready, I don’t even feel like ranting. Go figure. At least, this way, I get to use my new icon again…. Here’s a short discussion & old-school pearl about the wisdom mankind pretty much ignores….

From 6/27/2014:

“Waste not the remnant of thy life in those imaginations touching other folk, whereby thou contributest not to the common weal.” — Marcus Aurelius Antoninus (121-180 AD) — Meditations, iii, 4

I end up using a lot of quotes from Marcus Aurelius Antoninus, all of which seem to me to be pretty well-reasoned and insightful re: human nature, and ethical/moral behavior….. In fact, I find there are as many, or more, insightful, reasoned philosophers who lived before Christ was born… (not that I care that much, but, it’s the point in time our society has agreed upon to use as the basis for our calendar, thus making it the obvious, most convenient, and expedient, choice as a marker, in order to organize people into their time periods for reference and identification)…..

Marcus Aurelius, Socrates, Plato, Plutarch, Aristotle, Cato, the Elder and the Younger, Gautama Buddha, Lao Tzu, Confucius, and a host of others from all cultures in the world, passed their wisdom to us throughout the ages, and have always seemed to me to be superior in their reasoning to any of the more modern philosophers to whom I’ve been exposed….. which you will see reflected in the quotes you see here…. I have no apology for that, and don’t plan to change it, so, I hope y’all enjoy them, because they’re not going away…. In fact, I’m going to put together a pearl with parameters limiting it to quotes over 1500 years old, or more…. I would suggest you enjoy it, but, it’s not necessary with such classical wisdom to offer….

“Before enlightenment, one carries water and chops wood. After enlightenment, one carries water and chops wood.” — Zen Proverb

“Whatever you can lose, you should reckon of no account.” — Publius Syrus (42 BC) — Maxim 191

“…for the most part happiness consists in being willing to be what you are.” — Erasmus

“As surgeons keep their instruments and knives always at hand for cases requiring immediate treatment, so shouldst thou have thy thoughts ready to understand things divine and human, remembering in thy every act, even the smallest, how close is the bond that unites the two.” — Marcus Aurelius Antoninus (121-180 AD) — Meditations, iii, 13

“Nothing made the horse so fat as the king’s eye.” — Plutarch (46-120 AD) — Of the Training of Children

“He is a fool who lets slip a bird in the hand for a bird in the bush.” — Plutarch (46-120 AD) — Of Garrulity

“The trouble with Nixon is that he’s a serious politics junkie. He’s totally hooked… and like any other junkie, he’s a bummer to have around: especially as President.” — Hunter S. Thompson (b. 1939), journalist — The Great Shark Hunt, Jacket Copy for Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1979)

(Oops! Sorry, that slipped in there due to appending to the clipboard, rather than overwriting…. but, it’s kinda cool, I think, so, it can stay…. just ignore it after reading, and go on to the final pearl, which you see in its designated place, right down there on the line below this….)

“It behooves a prudent person to make trial of everything before arms.” — Terence (185-159 BC) — Act iv, Sc. 7, 19, (789.)

Since we were so rudely interrupted by Hunter’s oh-so-poignant observation of reality, I’ll add one more, to show that the ancients possessed as subtle a sense of humor as any modern pundit, for sure and for certain….

“Anaximander used to assert that the primary cause of all things was the Infinite,–not defining exactly whether he meant air or water or anything else.” — Diogenes Laertius (c. 200 AD) — Anaximander, ii

Well, a bit disjointed, but, it works for me…. So be it…. gigoid has spoken

Off the proverbial cuff….

I never meant to kill that period of time,
it didn’t give me any choice.
It tried to hem me in without reason, or rhyme,
refused me any vote, or any voice.

You have to admit, I buried it deep and fast,
just as if I cared.
I knew, though, it would never last,
or ever be fully repaired.

No news, no pictures can bring it back,
once is all we get.
No pleas of public good, or even public lack;
in stone the past is set.

Futuristic visions now occupy my dreams,
I’m ready to go on.
Look! It fills up the screen, and it gleams!
Where’s the moment I’m sitting on?

Now, I remembered, at long, long last,
is all we really can hold.
Every moment goes by so bloody fast,
we’d best fill them all with beauty, warm and bold.

Struggling Beauty

Good morning….

 “Sleep is a weapon.”

~~ Philip D’Anjou, “The Bourne Identity” by Robert Ludlum ~~

I first read the above words in the 1970’s, I think, when the book was first published. Regardless of the book’s qualities, I’d have liked it, anyway, if only for that line…. It’s such a powerful idea, and is, to my own knowledge, a very important piece of data for anyone to know, at least, if they’re the kind of person who enjoys life. It has so many applications to every part of life, it touches on all we do, and all we accomplish….. Without a sharp, strong, flexible weapon, life can be very hard, and very dangerous…. The weapon, of course, is our own mind….

Why is this relative to our purpose here today? Well, that’s simple actually…. Sleep, or rather, finding the means within myself to sleep, has become one of the more pressing issues in my life, as I am currently unable to predict at all when I’ll be able to go down for some rest…. Some days, I feel like I’m back in boot camp…. Of course, I never went to boot camp, aside from having been raised by a Master Sergeant… I guess that would count…

I’m not going to go into all the reasons for my reluctant insomnia; it’s TMI, and, no doubt, pretty boring for anyone not going through it. I will say, it’s not the kind of thing designed to make one into a happy camper, an assertion of which I possess no doubt whatsoever as to it’s truth….. In short, FUCK ME! THIS IS A PAIN IN THE BLOODY ASS!

Okay, I’m done. We can go now, to see if there is anything else in my head that might have some little entertainment value…. It may be a long search, so grab some of the trail mix before we head out; it could be a long time to lunch….

Shall we Pearl?….

Today’s video selection is a classic Science Fiction movie, long considered the definitive “First” in that genre. Shot on a minimal budget, with young stars, such as the then-unknown Leslie Nielsen, alongside fading Hollywood stars, such as Walter Pidgeon, the movie was shot as an entirely serious movie with a dramatic plot; it came out unintentionally hilarious, and campy, due to the special effects, for which the kindest word to describe would be “cheezy” ….. (Look at that robot!…. and, the alien landscape!…). I’ve included links and players for the official trailer, as well as some of the outtakes from the shooting process. To watch the entire movie, you can pay $2.99 to You Tube, or follow a link to many sites streaming old movies online…. Below you’ll find a short, but concise, religirant, another blast from the past, as I continue to mine my archives for material I can use today, to save me a bit of time, and mental energy, which I can always use to decide where I’m going for my next trip to…. ANYWHERE!…. Any who, all personal idiosyncrasies aside, this one is pretty good, I think, so pay attention, if you please, and take heed of what it says, for it is good advice, if naught else….

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today’s effort is, to my chagrin, falling somewhat short of my expectations; not surprising, given the handicaps with which we began our journey today…. As I mentioned above, or, not, I’m going to cheat; this, of course means we go to the archives for our thoughts for today…. This one is pretty good, I think, but, regardless of its quality, it’s going to have to do…. Enjoy, ffolkes, it’s the best we’ve got today….
From April 27, 2012
“He that doubteth is damned.” — Romans 14:23
It took a while, but it was worth the time spent searching…. This is a perfect example of how, if we let them, all those folks who would have us believe that the Bible, (or any other sacred books inspired by alleged supernatural entities), is a direct line of information from God, will go to almost any lengths, trying to trick us into doing exactly what that book tells us to do. In this case, they apply both guilt and fear of retribution in the next life if we question any of what we are told by that book, or any of what we are taught by those who hold it as truth….
I have previously written here as to the value Doubt possesses, in the bag of tools people have to get by in this complex, confusing universe we inhabit. It is our only defense against information or events that can cause, or even intend, us harm, rather than good; such information invariably is given to us by other people, whose only intent in doing so is to achieve some sort of power or control over us. I don’t think this is a particularly hard concept to understand; its proof lies in almost every interaction we have when faced with organized religions. Anyone who has studied the psychology of humans can point out the techniques of behavioral modification used by the religious hierarchies to assert their will upon the public….
The above short little warning/threat, drawn directly from the Christian Bible, (Old Testament, if memory serves….), implies that anyone who does not bend over in submission to its decree will spend eternity in Hell. Hmm, a bit harsh, don’t you think? For merely entertaining a question regarding the accuracy of a concept presented, one with no evidence that proves its reliability? The Universe at large presents us with such false information regularly; anyone who doesn’t learn caution in such instances is liable for the consequences, which can be severe, such as in the case of being confronted by an apparently friendly, but in reality, rabid dog. Rabies is no picnic, from all reports, so, Doubt, used as a tool in such instances, is very appropriate, patently a valuable one.
However, in the minds of the folks who are selling faith-based products, Doubt is the last thing they want people to have in mind when considering what they say. It tends to cause their arguments to fall apart right in front of their eyes, and they cannot make the sale that way. If they can’t convince people to accept what they say without questioning it, their entire house of cards will come tumbling down around their ears, and they would have to give up all those nice little perks that go along with having everyone believe everything they say, like having poor people willingly give up 10% of their earnings in tithe, or getting to reside, with no rent, in a house built by the labor of others…. Did you think they would give that up easily?…. Well, then you’ve lost your strongest ally against such degradations to your sensibilities…. a healthy sense of Doubt….
“Fear not, for I have given you authority to do so.” — Smart Bee, via some random preacher’s King James version….
    As intimated would be the case today, here’s one from the archives….
After the odyssey….
Portraits of iconic symbols, crashing, singing, forgotten;
evolving into mature innovation, as yet pale, and rotten.
Still water justly breeds, impenetrable primal verses resound;
unholy moments tarry, emotion swirls in passion unbound
Spiritual ovulation precedes each pregnant pause;
gravid, time moves on, following destiny’s cause.
Cast adrift on waves of confusion, to a final, damp landing;
salvation beckons sweetly, fed well on understanding.
Dreams directly fall, in night’s grey bower, unbidden;
lingering flavors in simple taste, lovingly, cleverly hidden.
Childish laughter sounds, joyful, bright, and clear;
no need ever to hide, no more monsters to fear.
Temper most foul arrives under unregistered mail;
forgotten taunts live on, lashed by an ancient flail.
Plain dealing delivers such lasting specks of honest hate;
savage in retrospect, never hasty, always running late.
Forever, cries an ambient lover of the pending night;
his pale, weak issue forms its own failing light.
Still, fortune favors such as those who apprehend;
Sweet love of Gaia, let it never end.
